What’s Been Happening Since our last newsletter in August we have been very busy and have received some wonderful donations as well as opportunities to serve, so here are a few of our adventures of late;
We praise God that we were blessed with enough financial donations to repair our puller truck and get back into our primary ministry (transportation) in August. In addition we were able to purchase a large flatbed trailer (weight rating 21,000 lb!) for a VERY reasonable price on Ebay, so we went to Iowa to pick it up. This trailer has increased our cargo handling capacity greatly and we are praising God for being able to obtain it. On the way to picking it up we stopped at the home of a wonderful couple in Rye Colorado and helped erect an antenna mast which will be used for radio communications by a missionary support radio network.
In October we received an unexpected blessing in the form a donated commercial kitchen on wheels located in Seattle. In the past we had not considered ourselves to be a feeding ministry, but having received this gift it is hard to ignore Christ’s words; “for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink” (Mat 25:35 ). We have therefore expended much energy into cleaning and preparing this great gift to be used to feed the poor and hungry, both locally and in disaster response scenarios as the need arises. We were able to pick up the trailer and deliver it to the Redeemed Christian Church of the Bible in Mesa Arizona which has graciously agreed to store it for us while we prepare it for God’s service. |
