Mission To Haiti - 2005

We are thrilled to announce that this August 6 th through 20 th Wings Of Love Ministry, in conjunction with Grace International ministries, Calvary Chapel of Anaheim California, the Blessings For Obedience Ministry, and the Caribbean Firefighters Assistance Foundation will be visiting the nation of Haiti to help build the “Smile Of A Child” charity hospital and participate in several other worthwhile projects.

During the two week project we will be providing labor, tools and materials, as we are able, with a planned focus on installing cabinets and painting. Team members from Calvary Chapel and Blessings For Obedience will be installing radio broadcasting stations for Pastor Marcel Ternival and Pastor Joel Jeune which will spread the word of God and provide valuable information to the communities they serve. Team members from the Caribbean Firefighters Assistance Foundation will be providing repairs and training along with needed tools and equipment to help establish a Volunteer Emergency Response Team based at the Grace International Ministry compound in the Carrefour district of Port Au Prince.

We will also have team members working with the orphan girls at Pastor Jeune's orphanage providing sewing and knitting classes along with just plain loving the kids, who do thrive on the attention.

During the second week of our mission we intend to continue helping with what is hoped to be some final details of the hospital construction. We also intend to provide a medical outreach to the local community, utilizing volunteer Doctors and Nurses in the existing clinic at the compound. In order to succeed with this ambitious set of goals we will need significant support to enable us to provide medications, food, transportation, security and other services for our team.
